My Thoughts

After years of the band doing their own things with side projects Rancid are back with their 8th studio album that it called ‘Honor Is All We Know’. With 19 tracks of fast pace punk action that any old school punk and rancid fans will love this album with racid going back to using awesome basslines for basic to ska to tom armstrong awesome voice that made them the band their are today.

The message of the band intend to show is clear in the first line when tom sings

‘I’ve been gone way too long, I’m back where I belong’

that great line  show your intend with songs like evil my friend, back their I belong and clure control standing out as well. The only nitpick is at time punk cliches about starting fights and drinking beer that good back when their started i think this band could of used the message of being back more in the lyrics.

But that not staying that this isn’t a good album because it is and is worth checking out if you can found the time because if you like old school punk and Rancid.I give this album a 8 out of 10

  10. The Remedy
  11. Dare You

My Thoughts

After two year away, mallory knox are back with the much awaiting asymmetry album. After hearding the single ‘Ghost In the Mirror’ on kerrang TV i knew I had to listen to this album and  I wasn’t disappointed . As everyone knows the second album is very important when being a new band as it can make or break you, and this album really is going to make them as a band. ‘Ghost In The Mirror’ and ‘ Shout at the moon’ are great anthems track and shows the feel and energy of the album and what the band is all about .

Great sounding guitar and powerful melodies really show in songs like ‘dare you’ and ‘fire’. But the band shows diversity and chilled out side in ‘She Took Him To The Lake’. Mikey Chapman voice performances was amazing and shows range and has one of them voice that work really well with good backing vocal showned in the songs ‘Getaway’, Desire and ‘Lonely Hours

This albums is so good and should be check out and if your a fan of Deaf Havana and Young Guns this is an album for you, you should take a look at songs like Ghost In The Mirror  and ‘She Took Him To The Lake’ because they are song that stand out.

My Thoughts on Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker Trailer

So as being a huge angels and airwaves for years now i was always going to check out this trailer for the short animator film called ‘Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker’ because of it being the created by Tom DeLonge. But wow the film looks amazing and has a mixed between old Pokemon with CG and the dark tone of the pixel film ‘coraline’.

I like that the film idea feels so original that is that hard to do these days but anyway the Film is about:

Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker follows Poet, a Lucid Dreamer, with the rare ability to be aware of his dreams while they’re happening. As Poet journeys deeper into his vivid dream life, he meets his Dream Walker, a guardian angel of dreams, who protects him from the torment of a vicious Night Terror monster.  But when his nightmares break through into his waking life, Poet must face his demons to fulfill his destiny’. (http://www.mania.com. 2014)

After watching this trailer i feel gutted that i wouldn’t be about to watch this film in the cinema as it being released in the USA and not in the UK, but at least i get the ‘The Dream Walker’ album new week that should more then make up for it after getting a teaser of another song in the trailer as well and it sound really good and works with the trailer.

But will  be back with my thoughts on the avengers age of ultron trailer and the new angels and airwaves song ‘Wolfpack, but until then have a great weekend
